Like RJT, DIN 11851 is a coarse thread that is quick and simple to connect with no potential for cross threading and easier to clean and sterilise. Physically the Din nut differs in that it is round as opposed to hexagon ( RJT) and it has slots that are used in conjunction with a special spanner to tighten the union.
