Buhar 7bar White EPDM Non-Marking Steam Hose BS5122/A2

Buhar 7bar is suitable for use with saturated or wet steam up to a temperature of 170°C.

Manufactured using special EPDM compound that gives outstanding resistance to temperature, UV and Ozone. Cover is pin pricked for steam use.

Referred to as a textile steam hose, Buhar 7 is reinforced using high tensile synthetic textile braiding for additional safety and pressure rating.

Complies to British Standard BS 5122 Type A2.

Buhar 7 is used extensively in the food and drink industry where a non-marking cover is preferable on clean factory floors. Suitable for steam cleaning/ sterilizati in Abattoirs,  Meat Processing, Dairy & Poultry, Breweries, distilleries , fish processing etc..

Buhar 7 should only be fitted using dedicated Boss type steam fittings or flanges. The fittings must incorporate safety retaining collars which accommodate a specially designed Boss type interlocking bolted clamp.

We do not recommend swaging of Buhar 7 under any circumstances

Clamps should be checked before use to ensure torgue values are correct. They should also be checked for any damage to the nuts, bolts or casting. Clamps should be replaced immediately if there are any signs of damage.

Steam clamps are single use only and should not be re-used as they are designed to deform to fit the outside of the hose. Re-torquing used clamps can cause stress fractures and subsequent clamp failure.

Buhar 7 should always be drained after use. Steam condensate, trapped in the hose carcass when re-energised can cause significant damage to the hose liner in what as  known as the ‘popcorn’ effect.
